Tenebrae of Holy Thursday

Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 8:00 PMThe Office of Tenebrae is a unique way of praying the Divine Office which combines Matins & Lauds (the two morning hours) into one celebration which can be prayed after dark on the night before or before dawn the morning of each day of the Sacred Triduum. The chant which accompanies this prayer is being specially prepared by singers from around Madison as this music is some of the most powerful and challenging in our whole Catholic tradition. Tenebrae walks worshipers through the Passion story in detail, recalling events in salvation history which have lead to these fateful moments in the life of Christ.
