TO THE FAITHFUL OF OUR PASTORATE,
In November, we spoke about the process of choosing a new parish name. We noted that upon the completion of the pastorate merger process, each church in our territory will retain its name and patronage, while becoming part of a newly created parish. For example, in Cottage Grove, the church will be called St. Patrick Church of (new name yet to be determined) Parish. Excitingly, this Sunday, on the Feast of the Holy Family we will begin the process of choosing a new parish name! We will speak on the proposed names over the next five Sundays; announcing one each week. Please read the weekly bulletins and e-notes with context on each potential name. Concluding the five weeks, we’ll have one week where the names are presented to the pastorate at large for ranking. Following that we’ll provide Bishop Hying our top three choices, in which he’ll select one. Our choices will be submitted by Ash Wednesday (February 14). The selection of this new name is an important step in uniting as one parish. Thank you for your continued support, faith, prayers, and dedication to our pastorate. Fr. Chad M. Droessler |

Thank You!
The IHM St. Vincent de Paul Conference would like to thank everyone who donated gift cards and toys to the annual Angel Tree event. Through your generosity, we were able to provide Christmas gifts to each child whose family reached out to us this year. We would also like to extend our thanks to those who donated their time by collecting, organizing and distributing the gifts at The Center for Vincentian Charity. Together your thoughtfulness and generosity made Christmas special for many families!
